Style: Leopard Print Goes With Everything

You can’t pass by a high street store, or scroll an online destination, right now without seeing a curtain of animal print greeting you in all manner of colours and styles. It seems that leopard is the hottest animal of the season, inspiring pretty much everything you can imagine and spicing up otherwise dull winter palettes – it really couldn’t have come at a better time! Although you may think the print too bold, too young or too Bette Lynch for you, it’s really a wardrobe staple that should adorn every woman of every age, style and shape. In my opinion, leopard print is almost a neutral because it really does go with everything.

I picked up this leopard print coat from Debenhams on a bit of a whim earlier this year, having been to Bath for the weekend expecting sunshine but actually getting rain and wind. (It’s actually now half price online!) I’m so glad I did though, as I’ve been wearing it with pretty much everything – dresses and skirts, jeans and jumpers – as a way to instantly perk up my look or ensure I feel a bit sassy. You could be forgiven for keeping the rest of your look quite monochrome, but mixing and matching your patterns and colour palettes is an easy way to keep the result feeling modern and fresh; clashing is most definitely in.

Hiding underneath is a new Zara dress that I feel in love with from afar (well, across the shop floor!) and rushed over to find the last one in my size. Hoorah! It’s stretchy and roomy, perfect for layering up and keeping you warm and comfy – but, the massive downside is the material is quite thin and super clingy, so it does stick to all those bits you probably don’t want it to. Matched with my new Michael Kors bag which I picked up from Bicester Village (it was a steal!) this is such an effortless look, but it looks like I’ve made at least a bit of an effort. That’s the benefit of chucking on something leopard print: it makes you look like you’ve tried, when really you’ve just let the animal do the talking.
