I’ve always had a slightly troubling relationship with my hair; it’s coarse but thin, not quite curly but not quite straight, a mousy brown nothing shade and I’m finding more and more greys with every day. Since I was a teen I’ve bought every product and styling tool that offers me sleeker, softer and more manageable hair, but few really deliver the results I want and even fewer last beyond a few hours rushing from meeting to meeting. One of the styles that has evaded me for as long as I’ve been doing my hair is the effortless ‘salon blowdry’ look that so many other women seem to be able to nail without a problem. It’s supposed to be simple, easy and quick to achieve but every time I try to juggle a hairdryer, brush and segment of hair I get all in a flap and give up in favour of getting the straighteners out once again! But finally, at the age of 35, I’ve finally found the secret to achieving the perfect salon blowdry at home – and it comes in the form of the InStyler Max Prime.
The Max Prime is like nothing I’ve used before. It provides the styling power of a round brush and blow dryer in one, offering 2-way barrel rotation and 4 heat settings so you can create any look you please: smooth and sleek, the perfect ‘blow dry’, elegant curls or sassy on-trend waves. Rather than having to hold two things at once or burn your fingers trying to keep strands of hair in place, the tool does all the hard work for you in seconds; the combination of heated barrel and brush smooths and styles in one movement.
I love the fact you just double tap the brush against the barrel to change the direction of the rotation too, meaning you don’t have to get in a tangle and just need to ensure hair is styled away from your face. Rather than attempting to hold your wand in an awkward backwards way, you just reverse the direction of the barrel and carry on with ease – it’s that simple!
From the very first go on this I nailed the at-home salon blowdry look in only a few minutes, and I’ve got better with practice. I’ve actually hung up my straighteners completely in favour of a bouncier and healthier looking blowdry look that actually keeps my hair feeling fab for up to three days (versus the usual day two ‘eugh I better put this in a bun and wash it tomorrow’ moment.) I’ve still got some of those flyaways (that’s the problem with my hair type and added bleach!) but the rest of my look is smooth and full of movement – and I love it. Where has this been all my life?
Check out my little video below that shows it in use, plus my final result!

It’s also now available in Boots, priced £89.99 (but currently £20.00 off!).
FYI this is not a sponsored post; I was paid for an Instagram post, but I loved the tool so much I wanted to blog about it here too and share how much this has changed my daily hair routine.
I have wanted to try something like this for such a long time, I am just worried about my long hair getting tangled in it!

I promise it won’t! If your hair does go ‘off curl’ it just sort of falls out and you can re-curl that bit; I’ve never got in a tangle once.
Oh wow what a great tool, I’m the same always want that bouncy blow dry look at home. Think I will invested in one at some point.
Your hair turned out fab! Great post
