The NEW Hydrating & Illuminating Skin-Come-Makeup Product From Illamasaqua I’m Loving

If there’s one brand I’m turning towards more and more for basics that do the job incredibly well, it’s Illamasqua. More well known for their colour cosmetics and innovative advertising campaigns than their contouring and blushers, you may be surprised to know they offer a whole heap of understated products that will leave you looking and feeling fab. I’m still using their delicious contouring palette on pretty much a daily basis, while their Hydra Veil was a fundamental part of my routine for the best part of a year; but now it’s the turn of their brand new Radiance Veil to capture my attention – thanks to it’s multi-functional benefit and subtle finish. This is much more than just another highlighter.

Part primer, part illuminator, the Radiance Veil (which launches
today) enhances the wear of your make-up through its unique velvet crème
formula; the inclusion of Vitamin C provides an instant smoothing
effect, while Vitamin E infuses the skin with moisture and hydration to
ensure makeup looks fresher for longer. (There’s nothing like a parched
complexion to cause makeup to move and look cakey at the end of the day.) However, the inclusion of opal pearl pigments also illuminate the skin
and provide an instant radiant glow. It can be used direct on bare skin before you apply your base to provide an all-over glow, mixed with your foundation for a more subtle radiant finish, or even used sparingly as a last step on the top of cheekbones and along the bridge of the nose. (Although make sure you use the tiniest amount, or you’ll look a bit like a golden fairy!)

The rich creamy formula is so easy to use, mixing well with other products and laying over the top of your finished look seamlessly. If you prefer to leave your skin ‘naked’ during the day, you can even just use this to ensure your complexion glows by dabbing it onto the areas that naturally catch the light. I love that Illamasqua are capitalising on the success of their original unsual product and moving it forward to meet the demands of a modern woman. We’re all demanding radiance, but don’t want to apply twelve different products to get it; this allows us the flexibility to create the looks we want while looking after our skin simultaneously, all in one single pot. I for one am sold… Are you?

The Illamasqua Radiance Veil launches today, priced £32.00.

I like to go "naked" as often as possible so I'm always looking out for lightweight products that keep me looking radiant. I'm going to keep a look out for this.
