Smaller Cans Without Compromise: Making The Switch To Sure Compressed #BelieveCompressed

Didn’t your mum always tell you that the best things come in small packages? There’s something incredibly gratifying about a tiny lipstick, a bite-sized burger, a handbag-sized hairbrush, or even mini ice cream cones; but what if you could get all the greatness of the regular size in mini form? The clever people at Sure have identified the need for smaller sizes of their iconic cans (both for convenience and environmental reasons,) but didn’t want to compromise on the performance or volume they offered. After reengineering the spray system (reducing the amount of gas needed to deliver the same amount of product with each spray,) the mini sized Sure Compressed cans last just as long and work just as well as the regular cans. Clever huh! Each can contains the same amount of product as the
original, but in a smaller, smarter and more convenient can. Not only is it more environmentally friendly with a smaller carbon footprint, but Sure Compressed deodorant lasts just as long as the big cans – providing you with equal protection while keeping you fresh, dry and protected.

Over nine million women have tried Sure Compressed in the last year, with a can being sold every three seconds. That’s a lot of women wising up to the benefits of a smaller can! On average, Sure have reduced the metal used in each can by 25% – as well as using up to 50% less gas. If 1 million people made the decision to switch to Compressed deodorants (which is a no brainer to me,) every year Sure could save up to 696 tonnes of CO2 (equal to the average emissions of a car traveling 126 times around the earth,) and enough aluminium to make 20,000 bikes. Not only does that make much more sense, but from a superficial point of view it also saves room in our handbags and space in our luggage! Nobody wants to lug around a giant can of deodorant just in case you need a little refresh, but with Sure Compressed you can fit a can into even the most impractical of clutch bags. Although it seems illogical that a smaller can offers the same amount of product, it really does.

What’s even better is that Sure’s unique ‘motionsense’ technology is activated by body movement, giving you long lasting protection whenever you move. Encapsulated fragrances, that are deposited in your underarm when you spritz on deodorant in the morning, release a burst of freshness with body movement – so the more you move, the fresher you are! I’ve been using this over the past couple of days and I’m impressed at how its no-fuss approach provides what I need, while being small enough to pop in my bag. I’ve never been one to carry around deodorant with me, but these descrete cans have definitely changed my opinion – especially as I’m off to the warm sunny climates of Florida and Miami next week, so will be needing all the support I can muster! So next time you’re shopping for deodorant, put back your usual giant can and opt for Sure Compressed instead. There are too many reasons not to.

The Sure Compressed cans are available from all beauty retailers, including Boots, priced £2.10. For more information on compressed deodorants, visit the Unilever website.
