I may have a huge portfolio of favourite blogs that I turn to on almost a daily basis, but there’s never harm in adding a handful more to my ever expanding Bloglovin feed. It’s so much harder to have a point of difference today than it was when I first started, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t oodles of undiscovered sites waiting to offer up something new or a touch of inspiration on a dreary afternoon. As has become somewhat of a tradition on LBQ, here is the latest edit of the blogs to watch this September – and why you should give them a follow!
Which Beauty Box
A genius idea for a blog and definitely one for those wanting to get a little extra from their beauty, Which Beauty Box does exactly what it says on the tin: it’s a blog all about beauty boxes! Offering up a helping hand to make that decision process a little easier, Jaina breaks down the contents of each month’s box – plus a few limited edition ones for good measure. It’s easy to discover new boxes and concepts too, as there are more than just the usual (Glossybox, My Little Box, Birchbox) suspects. From boxes to help with your monthly period, to health and wellbeing concepts, there’s something for everybody. Her beautiful photography will make you want them all though… You have been warned.
Junebug Makeup & Style
Helen is a fresh faced 17 year old with a lot to say. From her makeup tips and current favourite products, to trends she’s loving and easy to wear style, you can easily read ten posts in one sitting. The clean design and well written posts are easy to digest, while it’s refreshing to see a young girl break the cookie cutter mold we’re so used to seeing in the blogging world.
Recently re-branded and re-launched (previously Fragmented Splendour for those of you who may have stumbled across it before,) Hello Annabel documents a passion for beauty through beautiful photography and innovative angles. I love her easy beauty recipes, top five product picks, reviews of new launches and even the occasional home feature. There are big things in store for this site, I’ve no doubt.
L.E.M Beauty Blog
If you like your beauty blogs traditional with a touch of something new, then L.E.M is right up your street. Beauty reviews, news, recipes, product edits, favourite beauty looks and so much more besides, Leanne has something to keep you inspired every day of the week. There’s a splash of opinion and realism to this site too, which keeps it grounded and refreshing amongst a landscape of cupcakes and fairy lights.
Katie’s opening line is ‘thanks for stopping by; get a hot bevvie and enjoy a doughnut.’ A girl after my own heart. A relatively new site, this blog focuses not only on product reviews, but books, travel, lifestyle content and tips to keep you occupied while waiting for the printer… Genius. Put on the kettle, make yourself comfortable and enjoy her chatty style and well written posts.
Mrs Jonas Recommends
Aarti describes herself as ‘a 30 something magpie of all things bling’. Covering fashion, beauty and lifestyle, the tone of this site is uplifting and positive from the moment you start reading; I love the recent ‘three things you should never ask a woman over 30’ post and her increasing obsession with colouring books (something I’ve been getting in to too!) There’s definitely something unexpected and refreshing about Mrs Jonas Recommends.
So there you have it, six new sites to add to your feed. Do you have any other new favourites you’d love to share with me? Drop me a note in the comments below!
