NEW From YSL: Vernis À Lèvres ‘Pop Water’ (For Colour, Shine & A Weightless Feel)

I’m a genuine fan of the YSL glossy lip stains and their ability to add a touch of colour and shine without weighing lips down. Since their launch they’ve been a firm favourite within my collection, providing a great compromise when lipstick is too much but gloss is to little. This summer they’re expanding their collection with a third incarnation of the innovative concept: Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres Pop Water. It’s not a catchy name, but the formula is incredibly lightweight and comfortable, providing great pigment that actually stains the lips simultaneously. These are glossier than the original and provide a real pop of colour, giving the illusion that you’re wearing something heavier without drying the lips or becoming uncomfortable over time.

Available in twelve different shades, these are perfect for the
transitioning months when you’re not ready to leave the lipstick behind
but the texture is just to heavy. Like the name suggests, these glide on like water and provide a pop of colour; the long-term benefit is in the delicate stain they leave behind to ensure your lips still remain ‘done’ even when you’ve transferred the majority onto your pina colada glass. (Wishful thinking?) I’ve been wearing these all day and reapplying numeorus times and they don’t leave me feeling like I’ve got to crack out the balm come 5pm; they’re incredibly comfortable and easy to wear – especially thanks to the precise applicator which ensures the perfect amount covers the lips. There’s nothing spectacularly different about these, but I do really like them and think they’re a wise investment: especially as we step into the warmer months when you don’t want a half-melted lipstick floating around your handbag. At £26.00 they’re not cheap, but they certainly make a great payday treat.

Are you a fan of the YSL Glossy Stains? Will you be trying these new ‘Pop Waters’?

The new YSL Vernis A Levres Pop Water is available from May 27th in 12 colours, priced £26.00.

They're fab little tints for summer when you don't want to feel 'overdone' or like you have to re-apply every ten mins.

I've never tried anything from YSL! I love the packaging and their colours but they often seem too pigmented for me! These look incredible though, glossy colour that isn't too scary for people like me!Stephanie xxxx
