Let’s Get Out There & Have #SummerGoodTimes With Boots UK: Top Tips For Looking Fabulous

With the arrival of longer days, warmer nights and holiday season comes the need to freshen up your routine and try something new. The summer months are all about bright colours, flawless glowing skin and experimentation – as well as a little buffing and tanning to ensure those pins are looking fabulous! Boots UK, Britain’s much loved high street giant that always helps with your every beauty emergency, want to help people get out there and make the most of their summer. Their latest campaign is all about #SummerGoodTimes and it stars someone you may recognise! I’ve teamed up with Boots to film a series of short snippets that will help every one of you try something new or learn a top tip that will see you through the next season and beyond. From blending your foundation correctly and applying a touch of highlighter, to painting your toes and experimenting with a bold colour around the eye, lets all get out there and make the most of the summer…

Flawless For Longer
Choosing a foundation with an SPF is a great way to protect your skin in the summer sun. No7 match-made Stay Perfect foundation will last the long summer days, be the perfect shade for your skin and protect you from sun-damage. Apply your foundation with a brush to ensure a long lasting and flawless finish, paying special attention to the edge of your face and blending down towards the neck – nobody looks good with tide marks!

A Touch Of Light
With the arrival of summer comes lighter, longer days.
Maximise your natural features by perfecting your make-up and skincare
routine so you’re ready to get out there this summer. Highlighting your cheekbones, eyebrow arch and cupids bow will mean your skin will pick up the summer light and give you that radiant glow. I love the creamy texture of the No7 Radiance Highlighter, which helps to catch the light and is super easy to apply.

Festival First Timers
If you’re experimenting with colour for the first time, the best thing to do is choose a singular bold tone and really go for it! This SEVENTEEN Eye Eye Crayon in Jewel defines and enhances your eyes whilst giving you a long-lasting waterproof colour; it’s super creamy and easy to apply, meaning you can build up the colour as you become more confident. You can always tie in the colour with the rest of your look by giving yourself a matching manicure!

Bronzed In A Bottle
You don’t have to go away to get that golden glow. Bring your skin to life, so you can look and feel gorgeous and make the most of the warmer weather. All it takes is three easy steps:
THREE: Exfoliate! It’s important exfoliate weekly to help remove dull, parched surface cells and prepare the skin for the self-tanning to come. Low on time? Exfoliating mitts are super quick and easy to use.
TWO: Moisturise! Fake tan will stick to oil based products which can causes tan streak. Try a gel based moisturiser with added Aloe Vera to achieve a natural glow.
ONE: Tan! If you opt for a brand that has a few different shade options, you’re more likely to achieve a natural glow, rather than a one shade fits all approach. Mousse is my favourite method as it prevents streaking and dries really quickly.

Foot Files
Polishing your toes to ensure your feet are ready to face the world this summer. 42%* of women say painting their toe nails makes them feel confident enough to leap into summer and ditch those winter shoes – and I couldn’t agree more! Avoid your nail colour chipping by applying your top coat while your nails are still wet to allow it to penetrate through the polish, helping everything bond to the nail bed. Pick a nude tone to ensure it matches all those different outfits too!

Love the short little videos! Great tips. I'd say the best thing you can do for summer ready skin is to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Sarah :)Saloca in Wonderland
