COMPETITION: Innovative Antibacterial Toothbrushes From Nano-B (Infused With Gold, Silver & Charcoal For A Deeper Clean!)

The toothbrush may have been around for hundreds of years, but the technology behind it and the basic design hasn’t moved on much since its initial inception – until now. Although electric toothbrushes have seen a surge in popularity in recent years, Nano-B have turned what we know about the manual toothbrush on its head to offer an innovative and effective alternative. Each of the bristles within each head are coated with nano-sized particles of either silver, gold or bamboo charcoal to offer antibacterial and cleansing properties from totally natural sources. These microscopic particles release negatively charged ions that penetrate bacterial cells, suppressing the cell’s respiration and metabolism. This kills bacteria and prevents further growth on your toothbrush, meaning the Nano-B bristles are resistant to any airborne bacteria. Not only do they look super swish, but they’re really effective too – who knew a toothbrush could be so exciting!

The antibacterial properties of precious metals have been known for thousands of years, with even the Ancient Egyptians using gold and silver containers to store food and prevent it from spoiling. Today, silver continues to be used extensively in medical tools and appliances because of its antimicrobial nature: from catheters and endotracheal breathing tubes to disinfectant sprays, the properties of silver are widely adopted as a safe and effective way of eliminating bacteria. Furthermore, bamboo charcoal is the ultimate natural absorber of impurities; the nano-particles absorb all the dirt and stains from your teeth, acting as a natural teeth whitener and removing the need for harsh whitening chemicals.

These ‘nano particles’ are teeny tiny fragments that are between 1 and 100 nanometers; during Nano-B’s manufacturing process, gold, silver and charcoal are broken down to this size so they can be integrated with the bristles. However, regardless of their small size, all of these particles retain 100% of their respective properties and cannot be washed out or worn down – so you’re safe in the knowledge that the benefits will last for as long as the toothbrush, providing you with healthy teeth and gums. As a fan of electric toothbrushes I wasn’t expecting to get on with reverting to a manual brush, but Nano-B ensure they look great, feel great and leave my mouth feeling really clean. You can’t taste any metallic or charcoal either, meaning it’s a great way to integrate a little extra care into your routine.

You may be thinking these toothbrushes are too good to be true, but with prices starting at £7.99 they’re affordable and suitable for all the family – there’s even a family pack of four brushes (£23.99) so you can get everyone in your household on to this winning concept. They’ve even recently won the Beauty Shortlist Award for Best Health Breakthrough, proving that this is more than just a fad; there’s science, expertise and proof behind this innovative product. Because Nano-B and I both want you to try the product for yourselves, we’re offering FIVE readers the chance to nab themselves a family pack of four brushes so you can ensure your mouth is left sparkling clean. I'm really cynical about this sort of technology! What difference do these tiny particles really make?! If the diamond molecules are that small, they'll only attract tiny pieces of bacteria that I'm sure would be blasted away by a regular toothbrush anyway.
