NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils: Affordable, On-Trend & Easy To Use

I do love a good beauty bargain, and NYX certainly offer affordable products that are surprisingly effective. I’ve expressed my love for eyeshadow crayons and sticks before, detailing how they make even the most beautiful of smokey eyes easy to achieve, but some of them can be really quite expensive. However, NYX are launching a range of six jumbo eye pencils that offer a fabulous colour result and comfortable texture for only a fiver each! These crayons are super soft and easy to use, applying direct to the eye with no dragging or gritty feeling – the colour is strong enough for them to be used to line the eye, but equally blends really well for a smokey finish or more subtle result.

Each of the colours includes a delicate shimmer to catch the light and
provide a luminous glow, making these perfect for the forthcoming summer
season – all three of these shades would look awesome with sunkissed
skin or a touch of bronzer. However, these eye pencils can be tricky to build so do require patience;
leaving each layer for a few seconds helps it to grip to the lid so you
can create a stronger colour finish around the lash line. The lightweight nature can appear relatively transparent, so using a blending brush to buff the colour in works really well; it’s also a good idea to set the colour with some transparent powder so it doesn’t budge or transfer. If you’re concerned about accentuating wrinkles or lines around your eyes then these may not be for you, as they do have a tendency to sit in creases, but they’re a great little buy if you just need a pop of colour. I just wish NYX was available on the high
street so we could all grab one of these on our lunch breaks…

The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils are available in six shades, priced £5.00 each, from nyxcosmetics.co.uk
I’m wearing the bronze colour as a base and the charcoal around the lash line, as well as Maybelline’s Lash Sensational mascara and Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation.

    I love the look of these! The shades are lovely. I've been reaching for eye pencils a lot lately as they're so easy to apply. I wish NYX was more readily available too, as there's a few things I want to try out.Antonia x | Fifi and the Diamonds

    The Bronze colour is so gorgeous! I find NYX so awkward to get hold of in the UK but I love a good eyeshadow stick (especially that shade!) so it may be worth the extra effort 🙂 xx Magpie Jasmine

      I've no idea to be honest; they're in limited distribution in the UK, but you may have spotted a random stockist!
