The Affordable Tool Every Woman Needs: EcoTools Skin Perfecting Brush

Since I discovered the wonder of foundation brushes, my makeup world has never been the same. Applying your base with a brush helps to create the most flawless finish and really buff the product into skin, creating an undetectable result that lasts much longer – applying a base with your fingers casues the natural oils within your fingertips to mix with the product, as well as preventing an even application. Although traditionally shaped foundation brushes offer a great way of applying makeup, this unusually shaped EcoTools brush is the best thing I have ever tried when it comes to makeup tools – and at £7.99 it’s an affordable must-have for every single woman who wants their base to look awesome. (So that’s all of you yeah?)

Designed specifically to be used with BB or CC creams, it actually works well with every kind of foundation or base I own – BB, CC, DD, lightweight, heavy, tinted moisturiser, premium or budget. A little product on the hand helps to control the amount applied to skin, while the angled bristles help to ensure your base is buffed into every angle and corner of your face. I don’t know what makes this so magical, but it instantly creates a really flawless result and a practically airbrushed finish. The fluffy bristles help to work the product into the skin without leaving any streaking or brush strokes, while minimising the amount of product required. Since I acquired this I’ve shunned all other foundation brushes and had to continually wash this to ensure it’s fit for purpose. If you want to ensure your base looks awesome in only a couple of minutes, then you simply must buy yourself one of these magic tools. I’m off to grab another five…

The EcoTools Skin Perfecting Brush is available from Boots, priced £7.99.

If I'm being honest, I have this and I'm not a big fan of it, as I felt it took longer than using my fingers with a BB cream. I also think that BB creams (at least the ones I use) work better with warm fingers. I rarely use it, but seeing your review I may have to give it another go with foundation.Dusty Foxes Beauty

I've had this brush for about a month now, I've kept trying to use it and hope I change my opinion but it's really rough on my skin. It actually starts hurting my cheeks after rubbing the foundation in :S did you not find it a bit rough at all? Jamie xox Reaping Beauty

No not at all, it's really soft – maybe you've got a dodgy one? Try taking it back and asking for an exchange.
