It’s Body Beautiful Week: Introducing The NEW ‘Revived’ Dove Body Range (Plus WIN!)

We condition our hair, moisturise our faces and even apply a strengthening base coat under our nails, but we often forget to look after our limbs in the same way. The skin on our arms and legs in particular often becomes neglected and can suffer from dehydration, especially in the colder months when it’s exposed to the elements and the extreme temperatures of central heating. As we step into Spring and start consider baring all once again, it’s the perfect time to start looking after every inch of our skin from the moment we step in the shower. Thankfully help is at hand, as Dove have transformed their classic body wash range to offer softer and more beautifully smooth skin after just one use. The way we approach the daily shower routine is set to be revolutionised, as Dove scientists have replaced harsh cleansers with gentler technology to ensure efficiency, comfort and an awesome lather in one bottle. It’s been two years and six million Euros in development, but finally a new and improved product is here for you to enjoy.

The stripping cleansing agents found in many other cleansers have been replaced with Glycinate and NutriumMoisture Technology in the new Dove Body Wash, replenishing nutrients lost during cleansing. This helps to both smooth skin and strengthen its moisture barrier, for longer term results you can treasure. The rich lather not only feels fantastic, but really does good too – you can step out of the shower feeling instantly hydrated and as if you’ve treated your skin to something great, rather than rushing to apply moisturiser as your skin feels as though it’s about to crack. I can testify to the fact that after only one wash I felt an instant difference in my skin, with slightly rough and neglected limbs being replaced by something altogether smoother and more nourished. I’ve been turning to this practically every morning for the past month, knowing it will set me on the right path and help hydrate my skin before I’ve even started my usual beauty regime.

This new technology is being implemented across the whole Dove Body Wash range, meaning you can pick up your favourite products but know they’ll be even more effective when you click open the lid and squirt it into your loofah. Representing the biggest skin cleansing breakthrough from Dove to date, this really does result in a beauty regime that can start in the shower. Taking a few moments to indulge in some ‘me time’ and thoroughly cleanse your skin, even so early on in the day, can make a huge difference. Avni Trivedi, an expert in the importance of touch, says: “The combination of positive touch and the shower is profound and shouldn’t be underestimated – it’s one of the best routines you can have for your well-being and should be made a daily ritual.” Well if the experts are saying we should indulge in some positive cleansing..!

What’s even better is that the newly revamped range will also include the iconic beauty brand’s first ever exfoliating body wash: Dove Gentle Exfoliating. This super rich exfoliating lotion combines the best of Dove’s traditional cleansing formula with super gentle particles to slough away dull and dead skin, without removing too much or causing irritation. It’s so smooth that you barely even notice the exfoliating element, but it leaves skin feeling refreshed and ready to be revealed. It’s gentle enough to use daily, but great to use at least three times a week to ensure skin is not only well hydrated, but super smooth and ready for the gradual tan you may or may not be considering as we move into the warmer months. Working as a fabulous alternative to a much harsher and more abrasive scrub, this provides the perfect daily dose of exfoliation that leaves my skin metaphorically glowing.

To celebrate the launch of this fabulous new range and exciting new product, I’ve teamed up with Dove to bring you a week of exciting tips, new ideas, conversation starters and even an awesome competition so you can try this new range all for yourself – for a whole year! If you want to be in with a chance of winning a Body Beautiful hamper (which includes a year’s supply of the new Dove Body Wash and Gentle Exfoliating cream, a luxury bath robe and matching shower slippers, bath mat and beautifully scented vanilla candle) then just enter my competition via the widget below. Make sure you come back every day to find out how we can all be Body Beautiful and exude confidence, with only a few tweaks to your routine or repertoire. Of course, jumping into your morning shower with a bottle of new Dove Body Wash is a great place to start…
