Burberry Kisses: Effortless Lip Colour With A Touch Of Shine

Out of all the luxury fashion brands turning their hand to makeup, Burberry continually intrigues and excites me the most. It may be their heavyweight lust-worthy packaging, the on-trend shades or the delicate embossing on everything from lipstick to eyeshadow, but they make buying makeup a treat rather than a chore. These new Burberry Kisses lipsticks provide an ‘effortless buildable lip colour’ that’s designed to give multiple lip looks with just one shade, thanks to the customiseable result and lightweight gel-like formula. If you’ve always wanted to treat yourself to an elegant bullet of colour, but didn’t want to feel overwhelmed with a heavy texture, then this could be for you.

Burberry say: “A single kiss of colour gives understated luminosity;
two or three kisses gives intense depth and vibrancy.” You can really
build up the colour result from a delicate whisper of colour, to
something much bolder while remaining on the side of understated; these
lipsticks are perfectly wearable for those of you not accustomed to the
texture of a lipstick, but who still demand a great colour result. The
rich blend of satin finish pigments and shiny polymers provides a
luminous finish that’s relatively sheer, providing lips with a touch of
shine that makes them even more kissable. The colour result is also a lot more wearable and doesn’t look or feel like lipstick, which can sometimes be ageing; this is a very modern approach to lip colour.

Enriched with
Burberry’s signature blend of tea, lavender and rosehip, the light
texture glides on with supreme comfort and gives six hours of continuous
hydration; lips feel hydrated and smooth, without being weighed down by
a drying and thick texture so normally associated with lipstick. Although the downside is that you do have to ensure your lips are looking their best underneath (the pale shade looked horrendous until I’d undertaken a little lip buffing and maintenance,) these are a great daytime alternative to gloss or balm. My lips aren’t left feeling dry, the colour doesn’t bleed or transfer to excess, making these great for popping in your bag and reapplying on the go. With thirteen fabulous shades to choose from, I’ve no doubt there’s a colour to suit everyone.

The ‘Burberry Kisses‘ lipstick is exclusive to Harrods; available in 13 shades and priced £25.00.

The packaging of these lipsticks gets me every time, I just don't know if I'd like to fork out the money for these when there are cheaper high end lipsticks that can provide the same finish and longevity! xxMy Blog | Blog With Laura

I was just in Burberry today, and they are slow at rolling the new launch out. Even most of their existing lines were running low in stalk. I can't wait to try these out! -Katherine http://thegreenbows.blogspot.ca

I love the first coral/rose colour, it's gorgeous! I have started a mini Mac lipstick collection, but I only ever put it on first thing and don't really have the time to top up my look during the day – These could be the perfect solution!Victoria | http://trixorvictoria.blogspot.co.uk/

These are Devon Sunset, Sepia and Light Crimson. Rose Blush I think is an understated pink.
