The great thing about running this site over the years is the amount of people I get to talk to on a daily basis. From those of you sending me tweets and commenting on instagram photos, to the huge amount of you that take the time to comment and even email me your questions or follow up thoughts after a post. I love feeling like we have a little LBQ community of like-minded individuals and beauty enthusiasts, but I also love being able to answer your questions and provide a little bit of help when it comes to beauty dilemmas. Today sees an extension of that as we launch a very special (previously secretive) and groundbreaking project: Tesco Beauty Sessions. I’ve teamed up with a fabulous team at Tesco Beauty and eight other beauty bloggers-slash-experts to offer 1-2-1 ‘helpouts’ that bring you one step closer to our crazy beauty world. From today, absolutely free of charge, you can book a one-on-one beauty chat with me (or any one of the other experts) and ask any of those burning beauty questions.
What is a Tesco Beauty Session I hear you ask? This groundbreaking opportunity is essentially a video chat that works using Google Hangouts technology; the beauty sessions are free 15–20 minute consultations that are bookable online, where you can talk to a member of the Beauty At Tesco panel of experts and bloggers. These sessions are completely free, but you will need a computer with a built-in camera (or additional webcam) and an internet connection – not rocket science, but hey, we like to keep it clear and simple. Booking a session is easy peasy: just follow the step-by-step instructions on the booking page and await a confirmation email.
We can talk about anything you like – from knowing what new mascaras you should be investing in, to perfecting a cat flick or understanding why sulphates in your shampoo aren’t a great idea. You can ask me how to contour, what products help with dry skin, quiz me on beauty bargains or even sneakily get a few blogging questions in at the same time. It may be you’re a lady of a certain age that wants to wear bold lipstick, or a teenager (over the age of 16 only please!) just finding their feet and wanting somewhere to start. If you’ve always wanted to have a one-to-one session with me or take the opportunity to ask me questions you’ve maybe been a little too embarrassed to air in a public forum (all of the Beauty Sessions are 100% confidential and private) then this is your chance to do just that.
Every week there will be multiple sessions available to book one-on-one time with me, all of which you can see on the Beauty At Tesco website. If you can’t find a slot that suits, then don’t fret – every week a new set of slots will be uploaded and available for you. However, if you still can’t find any time that works for you, please do drop me an email or tweet and we can arrange that just for you. I can’t wait to get stuck into this new extension of the blog and I can’t wait to start seeing some of your beautiful faces (rather than just your profile pictures that never do us justice!) Please do nab the slots that are currently available and let me know your thoughts on this whole new campaign. Until our one-to-one ladies and gents…!
