Cloud 9 Skin Solutions: Targeted Skincare For Problem Areas

Working within a world obsessed with shiny lipglosses, the next big nail trend and adding argan oil to everything imaginable, it’s easy to be swept up in the superficial nature of the beauty business. However, the very foundations of this multimillion pound worldwide industry were built upon providing solutions to problems – from soothing dry skin, to clearing acne and helping hair to grow long and strong, there’s long been a demand for anything that can help us look and feel our best. Cloud 9 Skin Solutions are built upon these foundations and offer a problem-solution approach; the creative forces behind the brand set about creating products that would be treasured to the very last drop, rather than lingering half-used at the back of a bathroom cupboard. Cloud 9 wanted to deliver on promises made and provide a real difference to those suffering with skin conditions that included psoriasis, eczema, acne, cellulite, scarring and varicose veins. And that they have.

Within their repertoire of five products they answer a multitude of needs that will concern the majority of us – either now or in the future. From cellulite cream and a varicose vein treatment, to an acne gel, scar minimising cream and hardwearing soothing paste developed for those with eczema or psoriasis, Cloud 9 provide those of us suffering in silence with a solution. Varicose veins, the redness of eczema, adult acne and prominent scars can have a huge impact on confidence, so providing a helping hand to target and eliminate those concerns is something really rather special.

All the products are free from parabens, formaldehyde, sulphates, phthalates, silicones, artificial colours/ dyes, SLS, SLES and DEAs, ensuring efficiency without compromising on ingredients or causing further irritation to damaged skin. Each product has a unique texture and colour that illustrates how the focus has been very much on producing formulations that work – from the unusual mustard yellow Skin Rehab Scar Minimising Cream, to the bright pink Tranquility Ultra Soothing Cream and peachy Varicose Vein treatment, these are products that have been designed to make a difference and not necessarily to just look pretty.

Considering the powerful force behind them, all five formulas are incredibly lightweight and massage into skin within seconds while leaving practically no detectable residue: these aren’t thick medicinal creams that make you smell like a walking pharmacy, but naturally derived hardworking solutions to problems. Within the Skin Rehab Scar Minimising Cream, St John’s Wort and extract of Onion help reduce inflammation, Calendula and Yarrow extracts assist in the healing process and alleviate pain, while Arnica helps to improve skin elasticity and softness. The Tranquilty Ultra Soothing Cream features a unique combination of Vitamin B12 and Avocado Oil to help soothe sensitive areas by nourishing the skin and helping reduce discomfort. In addition, the Clarity Skin Clearing Spot Gel contains Vitamin E, B3, B5 and Chamomile extract help skin heal naturally without irritation; when applied twice a day it can make a real difference.

Although I’m lucky enough not to suffer from any major skin conditions, I have been using the Scar Minimising Cream on a burn mark on my arm that was caused by an attack of a curling wand. (Beauty bloggers injuries are endless – all in the name of research.) The texture is lightweight and easy to massage in, leaving little to no detectable residue and helping to soothe the area; I’ve been using it a couple weeks and have noticed a subtle change, but will definitely continue to use it up to the three month recommendation. In addition, a close friend has been putting the Spot Gel through its paces and is so far impressed – no irritation, lots of soothing and a pleasant to use formula that doesn’t leave skin feeling sticky or clogged up. The Ultra Soothing Cream has also been great on my boyfriend’s eczema, helping to target very dry or irritated areas and provide an injection of much-needed moisture without stinging; the pink formula even helps to reduce the appearance of redness across his forehead, which is an added bonus.

Because we understand that living with skin conditions can be troublesome and have an impact on multiple areas of your life, Cloud 9 and I have teamed up to offer five readers the product of their choice from the range. Whether you’re concerned about scarring, are living with psoriasis, have prominent varicose veins or simply want to target cellulite ahead of the swimwear season, we have a product for you. All you have to do is enter via the widget below and you could be one step nearer to confident and clearer skin.

I'd love to try the Tranquility – Ultra Soothing Cream for Dry Damaged Skin. My skin has felt so much drier since being diagnosed with Crohn's disease, as my body doesn't absorb as much nutrition and leaves my skin and hair feeling drier.

Would love to try anything that helps with Arthritic Psoriasis – I only have a small problem area which is my left elbow, which is very flaky – always use great moisturisers twice a day and exfoliate regularly, but due to early menopause (38) and early onset of arthritis in some joints, it has now caused psoriasis on my elbow – don't want to use steroidial creams due to side effect so this range sounds great! Thanks for the heads up x
