Bobbi Brown Art Sticks: My Current Makeup Must-Have

Sometimes a product is launched and you think it’s ok, an average addition to the beauty world, only to find a year later that you finally discover how fabulous it really is. This describes my relationship with the Bobbi Brown ‘Art Sticks‘ perfectly: although they’ve been on my radar for some time, only recently (thanks to the launch of more wearable and fun colours) have I started using them regularly and appreciating their uniqueness. The ‘Art Sticks’ were designed to transition between a lip liner and lipstick, providing wearable shades in a comfortable texture that offered precision and longevity. There’s nothing else quite like them available, offering the best of a lip liner and lipstick with added comfort; these make wearing bold tones and strong colours as easy as pie.

This chunky pencil glides on effortlessly and delivers a creamy matte finish, made even better by the fact you can line the lips and ensure a super precise result; there’s nothing more elegant than a perfectly made-up lip. Bobbi Brown’s Art Sticks provide a blend of emollients and shea butter to create a rich creamy texture that allows for smooth and effortless application; you simply colour in your lips and you’re left with a fabulous finish. These can even be applied over or under a touch of balm, finished with a slick of gloss or topped up on the go – unlike a heavy and sometimes drying lipstick, these don’t compromise on comfort.

If you love the idea of lipstick but don’t quite buy into the texture, then these Art Sticks offer a much more ‘daytime friendly’ approach to colour. They don’t smudge or transfer nearly as much as a traditional lipstick, nor do you need to blot or faff when applying; you can add a touch more colour on-the-go, as well as using them in conjunction with a balm.  They’re so flexible, fun and much more practical than a sometimes messy bullet of colour – plus they offer so much product for your buck. I estimate you get at least double the amount of product when compared to a lipstick bullet, making them a wise investment for spring.

The Bobbi Brown ‘Art Sticks‘ are available in ten shades, priced £19.50 each.

I have Hot Berry and I love it! I never thought a lip pencil could apply so easily and wear so comfortably.
