It’s The Little Things: ‘Slice’ Cosmetics Pencil Sharpener

Sometimes the little things pass us by without even a fleck of interest, but when you get to grips with them and actually integrate them into your routine they become something you can’t live without. Pencil sharpeners are one of those must-haves-but-don’t-pay-attention-to type products, keeping eyeliners and brow pencils sharp enough to perform at their best. Although I have about ten different ones that I’ve accumulated over the years (both bought and provided with new eyeliners) they’re all blooming messy and a pain in the backside to use. This little red pebble from slice makes keeping your tools in perfect working order super simple, clean and efficient.

The stylish compact design is easy to store, while minimising mess that may accumulate in your makeup drawers – there’s nothing worse than flecks of pencil lingering at the bottom and staining your makeup. It sharpens all manner of pencils and crayons, thanks to the double hole and removable adapter ring (that I accidentally threw away thinking it was just a bit of plastic!) All the shavings are caught in the pebble for easy disposal, the blades are super sharp and there’s even a built-in blade-cleaning pick to remove any residue from the sharpener. Available exclusively online, it’s priced £12.99 – but annoyingly is only $9.99 on the US site (about £6.60) so if you know anyone stateside get them to order it for you! It may be small and compact, but this Slice sharpener is definitely one of the best things to slip under my radar in the last few months.

The ‘Slice’ sharpener is priced £12.99 (or $9.99) and available online.

I love the fact it catches your sharpenings – I hate when they go everywhere and smudge on everything! How has this not become a standard with makeup sharpeners?!Brenda BusyBee | Makeup Revolution & Benefit Giveaway

I love the fact it catches your shavings, I hate the mess I always get when I try to sharpen my pencils. It never works right. Will have to look for this.

Everyone needs a good sharpener in their collection, I've been using a crappy seventeen one to see me through but this seems like a good investment!Kirstie | A Yellow Brick Blog
