Three Winter Body Lotions You Need In Your Life This Christmas

The colder months place huge amounts of pressure on our delicate skin – not only on our faces, but on our upper arms and lower legs. Opaque tights may keep the chill out somewhat, but their very nature still sees the cold winds bite against skin and cause dryness that often resembles scales. (Or is that just me?) Applying a great body lotion at the end of the day before you slip into bed can help replenish lost moisture, soothe tired skin and prevent further damage the following day. Although lightweight moisturisers are great in the morning, it’s sometimes troublesome to put on your tights over sticky skin; my preference is to spend some serious time massaging moisturiser into my skin and letting it get to work overnight. Although I have a plethora of body butters, lotions and milks that look after my skin all year round, these three moisturisers are perfect for the winter season and offer something just a little bit different…

1. Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant (£3.29)
The combination of healing micro-droplets of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, powerful
moisturisers and pure cocoa butter make this an easy choice for winter. The rich and fast-absorbing formula glides over skin to leave it looking and feeling silky smooth, with no greasy feeling or excess residue. The delicate cocoa scent ensures it’s a little bit moreish and perfectly suited to the time of year that we all like to stuff our faces with chocolate. For the price, this is one fab moisturiser that you can use to keep your skin feeling fab all year round.

2. Dove Winter Care Nourishing Lotion (£3.99)
Part of their limited edition range that only hits shelves for a few months a year, this super rich formula is specially designed for dry skin and penetrates deep down within the skin’s layers. Their unique technology offers essential nutrients and rich essential oils to help gradually improve skin over time – so it’s not just instant relief, but long-lasting results. It contains the delicate scent of amber to warm the senses and comfort you on a chilly evening, making it a great product to give your skin a little treat.

3. Korres Vanilla Cinnamon Body Milk (£10.00)
This rich and creamy moisturising body milk has a scent you’ll either love or hate; the combination of sweet vanilla with spicy cinnamon makes it incredibly festive and a great stocking filler for Christmas. The powdery texture provides a
matte finish on your skin, removing any shine or greasiness that can be somewhat annoying in the morning. Containing a combination of provitamin B5, Lanolin, Jojoba Oil and Aloe Juice to enhance the suppleness of skin while supporting the immune system, this is definitely a skin treat.

Do you have any favourite moisturisers for winter? Have you tried any of these three?
