Urban Decay’s NEW ‘Vice 3’ Eyeshadow Palette: All You’ll Ever Need

There’s something about Urban Decay eyeshadows; they’re super soft, blendable, workable, pigmented, easy to build and exceptionally long-lasting. If there’s one palette I always reach to come a big occasion, night out or morning when I need to look my best, then it’s undoubtedly an Urban Decay number. Although their Naked palettes are exceptional and provide an array of nude shades that can be build up to create understated looks or striking smokey eyes, I personally prefer a bit more colour I can play with. Although I adore the Naked Basics for the daytime, I need something a bit stronger and with a little more glitter come the evening. Their latest launch is hitting stores just in time for Christmas, when we all become a little more adventurous and push the boundaries of our normal routine. The ‘Vice 3‘ eyeshadow palette contains twenty different shades for practically every occasion, including various tones and textures – it’s essentially the only eyeshadow palette you’ll ever need.

All twenty of the shades are brand new and have never been featured within the Urban Decay collection before, making this palette all the more covetable.  Each of the five rows have been cleverly split into slightly different tones and looks, ensuring ease of use and confidence in pushing the boundaries. There are four nude shades that wouldn’t look out of place in a Naked palette, four stronger shades of blue and green, a few darker shades of brown and red tones, plus four beautiful grey dusty tones that would make a great alternative to a traditional smokey eye. Overall the twenty different shades provide an incredible portfolio of colour that will be all you need to take you from office, to bar via lunch with your girlfriends and a strut on the dancefloor.

The performance of the eyeshadow colour is only enhanced by the brilliant double-ended applicator brush which will make creating any look super easy. The long bristles help to buff colour into the eye and create a base using lighter tones, while the shorter bristles really help to pack in pigment and ensure a stronger result around the lashline; it’s also great at blending into the socket for a fabulous smokey look that can be built up around the corners of the eye. I’ve been known to swipe the brushes from Urban Decay palettes and integrate them into my daily routine, even when not using an UD shadow – that’s how much I genuinely love the brushes they include in their palettes. The Vice 3 isn’t only incredible value for money (at £42.00 it works out about £2.00 per colour,) but it also comes packed in its very own protective clutch case that can also be used to store bits and bobs while you’re out and about. As makeup must-haves go, this is definitely one you’ll want to add to your Christmas list – if you can wait that long!

The Vice 3 palette is available now priced £42.00 online via Selfridges.

£2 per colour is actually a really good bargain, especially because you know you'd be all over that if they were sold as single shadows. I love how clear your swatch picture is xxLaura @ Blog With Laura

I found that the quality in this palette was not as good as the naked palettes. I find these to be more powdery and less creamy in texture. Also they crease and fade on me a lot quicker than any other urban decay shadow. Have you nitced anything similar? What's your thoughts on the quality compared to the other UD palettes? I personally think their brushes are way better than what other palettes include but I have other brushes I like more. The makeup bag is such a great bonus,www.loevensmakeuprambles.blogspot.com

It's so pretty and colourful! If you didn't have any other eyeshadow palettes this would be great and you really wouldn't need any others, especially with UD quality :)Dannie xwww.famousinjapan.co.uk

This looks amazing and if I had a spare £42 lying around I think I'd have to grab it and start practising (my eye shadow applying skills are non-existent!) x Becky @ The Little Blog of Beauty
