Bronzer is my best friend during the summer months, helping to add a sunkissed glow and warm tone to my otherwise pale skin. Although blusher helps to add a touch of colour and highlighter is great at contouring, bronzing products can help create a natural glow and add warmth to the complexion. The majority of the shades available on the high street are intended to work with darker tones or be used over a tan, making it even harder for those of us with whiter-than-white skin to find something that works. However, MeMeMe have a fab selection of products that contain more neutral and wearable tones that work with, rather than against, our natural colouring.
Their ‘Shimmer Stack’ (£9.99) contains five complementary tones that work to ensure a natural and multi-dimensional finish; they’re also some of the palest bronzing shades I’ve personally discovered, making them perfect for bronzer-phobes. The colour combination ensures that you can delicately work the powder all over the face, building up the result and using it to subtly contour as well as highlight. Used in conjunction with their ‘Goddess Rocks'(£12.50,) which provide a dusting of golden colour when buffed with a fluffy powder brush, you can create a beautiful result.
The ‘Goddess Rocks’ are incredibly soft to the touch and practically melt onto your brush, so you do have to apply sparingly for the perfect finish. The individual rocks ensure you only pick up a small amount of product at any one time, while providing a delicate glow on the skin. These are both great products for paler skins and are incredibly affordable too; they make bronzing an option for those of us previously intimidated by chocolate tones and matte colour, providing more wearable tones that can be enjoyed rather than feared. Which is always a good thing.
