A Professional Approach: Makeup Revolution Concealer Palette

If you’ve ever seen professional makeup artists at work, then you’ll know that the secret to their success comes in the form of a palette filled with as many skin-tone matching shades of concealer as possible. Although we’re used to using one of three or four shades available on the high street, there never going to be a perfect match when we only have a couple to choose from. Makeup Revolution are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with, launching fab products that are incredibly affordable. Their concealer palettes are available in three colour combinations (light, medium and dark) and each feature eight individual shades – all for the measly cost of £6.00.

The palettes may not be the best quality, but for £6.00 you can’t really complain – they’re still sleek, slim and come with a mirror! The eight shades within the ‘light’ palette contain everything even the most porcelain of skin needs to conceal and perfect blemishes. We’re all used to using one colour all over our face, but realistically we need a slightly different shade under our eyes that we do on our chin (and a totally different one to cover pimples.) This palette makes that a lot easier, encouraging us to test and play around with colour combinations to find out perfect match – something that should definitely be applauded, especially when it’s a budget brand!

Suprisingly the texture of these concealers is incredibly lightweight and not at all greasy. They all leave a matte and powdery-type finish on the skin, which is great at covering shine and stopping the product from slipping away. However, for older skins and those of us that may be suffering from fine lines around the eyes (ahem) the texture can sit and look a little cakey. For me, these are definitely spot-appropriate concealers and provide a texture that’s more suited to correcting skin tone rather than under-eye circles. Although I’ll be sticking with my YSL and Clinique for post-hangover maintenance, these will definitely be within my repertoire when I want something a little lighter for my pimples. What do you think of these palettes?

The Makeup Revolution concealer palettes are available online in three colours, priced £6.00.

Thankyou so much for making me aware of this product! I could've easily spent £25 on three different shades of concealor but thanks to Makeup Revolution I can now buy six for £6.

I really want to try these, I spent £17 on a crownbrush concealer palette and this looks exactly the same! And I've loved every other makeup revolution item I've bought so far!
