NEW From Illamasqua: Hydra Veil Matte (The Perfect Product Extension)

Illamasqua may be more well known for their bold colours, but they also offer a huge portfolio of products designed to help every woman look and feel her best – regardless of the colour palette she chooses. Their original Hydra Veil jelly was launched back in 2013 to rapturous applause, offering the combination of a hydrating base and a primer in one easily absorbed product. It makes makeup easy, removing any confusing application techniques or layering conundrums by simply providing one universal liquid that achieves everything in one swoop. I love the original, so when I found out they were launching an updated ‘matte’ version I just knew the beauty world would go crazy for it.

The original formula is very much like a clear jelly, which for some can be intimating to use and leave a slightly shiny finish. However, Hydra Veil Matte has a much creamier texture and a lightly tinted pink colour that makes it easier to see where you’ve applied. Like the original before it, the matte version absorbs into skin within seconds to leave a very subtle veil on the surface of skin. You can barely feel a thing, because skin sucks up the hydrating formula to leave it feeling plump and fresh.

The Hydra Veil helps to not only hydrate the skin, but to provide a priming base that enables makeup to look more flawless and stay put for longer. It mattifies skin too, removing any slip or shine that sometimes occurs later on in the day, and can even be applied over makeup when you need a little touch-up without ruining the look of your cosmetics. Basically, it’s a super simple yet super effective product that’s great for every woman of every age. Once you try this it’s hard to look back.

The Illamasqua Hydra Veil Matte is available now priced £30.00.

So excited to try this, I didn't want to try the original as I am not a huge fan of anything other than matte so this is brilliant! x
