NEW The Body Shop: Raspberry Jam ‘Early Harvest’ Body Butter & Scrub

Raspberry jam always reminds me of fruit picking in the woods when I was a child. We’d come back covered in blackberries, strawberries and raspberries, looking like we’d literally walked through a berry bush backwards. The sweet smell and seedy texture is extremely comforting, evoking childhood memories and making my tummy rumble. In recent months The Body Shop have been pulling out all the stops, launching innovative and fun products that appeal to both our indulgent and scientific sides. With these ‘Early Harvest’ body products they’re really onto something great – the luxurious raspberry body butter has a sweet scent to be adored, while the body scrub looks and feels like jam. Mmmmmmm.

I’ve always been a big fan of The Body Shop’s body butters, as they provide a serious hit of hydration combined with a luxurious and indulgent texture. Although they are a little too rich for the day, they make a great bedtime accompaniment when lathered over limbs. The raspberry version smells extremely rich so may be a little too sickly for some, but used sparingly it’s a great comforting indulgence as we move from one season to the next.

The body scrub has a jelly-like texture, moving as one in the container. When a small handful is picked up and applied to the body, it feels like you’re smothering yourself in jam! The formula contains a great deal of sugar crystals to help gently exfoliate the skin, as well as seeds to buff away dead skin. This isn’t a harsh scrub, making it suitable enough for daily use, but it is a fun indulgence to perk up your morning shower routine.

If you’re a fan of The Body Shop and love jam as much as me, then you’ll want to rush out when they launch in April. They’re limited edition products too, so they won’t stick around for long. Will you be picking up these sweet smelling treats?

The ‘Early Harvest’ body products launch on 15th April into The Body Shop stores.

The scrub looks good enough to eat! I'll definitely be popping into the Body Shop to smell these, but I love anything raspberry scented so I'll probably have to pick them both up :)Sally x

I'm not sure about the body butter, as I think it'll be too sweet and sickly for me, but I love the look of the body scrub.Laura x | Life and Lipstick

Oh man, I think I need that just for the novelty- I would never use it because it's so darn cool looking. I have yet to see this and don't have a Body Shop near me but I'm sure I'll end up driving the 3 hours to the nearest one :P. Thanks for the great post πŸ™‚

I'm not a huge fan of Bodyshop's Butters (too smelly for me!) but I do love their scrubs and shower gels. Only thing is I find a tub of scrub goes 'funny' as water gets in when showering, wish they did scrubs in a tube! x

Thanks for this share. I love body shop body butters and this new one sounds ace. The scrub sounds nice but I prefer to use ones in tubes, so much easier to use. Lovely post and fab pics! πŸ™‚ xxHelen | Helens Fashion & Beauty Blog

The body scrub just looks edible it looks really delicious, I am a little dubious as I usually find sugar scrubs to be a little messy! I still will probably give these a whirl though πŸ™‚ x

I've used the body butter in the past but I haven't tried the scrub before. I definitely hope to pick it up when it becomes available again. xxCelina | The Celution | Bloglovin’

Chloe, soap and glory do a body scrub in a tube. I have the body butter and really like it. Someone commented it smelt of yoghurt but I hadnt had yoghurt for ages, so I had raspberry yoghurt and have to agree actually – it does! I still like it though!I think body shop does great body butters generally although expensive.Maybe I will get the body scrub…although it seems a bit weird putting a jam like subsrance on your skin! I received the mango scrub as a gift but dind it a bit harsh and prefer the smell. That is not jelly/jam like.i wonder if the raspberry one is less harsh.Sophie
