Hair removal is a multi-million pound business in the UK, with women (and men) spending a fortune on treatments, products and pampering to rid themselves of unwanted fuzz. Although much time has been spent developing products to reduce the need for shaving, waxing and epilating, little has been invested in the under-arm area. Inhibitif is the new product that claims to innovatively target the glamourous armpit, helping to visibly reduce the hair growth, density and thickness of hair in eight weeks. Administered via a bacteria fighting deodorant, Inhibitif takes a product we already use daily and turns it into a dual-purpose treatment; so many of us fail to maintain routines, so this ingenious launch makes it super easy to slip hair removal into our existing routine. Inhibitif works by targeting the hair follicle directly to slow down the growth rate and density of unwanted hair. The formula helps to prevent stimuli that boost follicle growth, meaning that the body simply doesn’t produce hair in the way that it otherwise would.
Inhibitif uses the highest concentrations of active ingredients, combined in a base made of natural maize and aloe, ensuring that this really does help your body simply ‘switch off’ the growth of unwanted hair. Although the effects will only ever be temporary and the product will need to be used continually for long-term results, this really is a complete innovation. Why has nobody ever thought of this before? The deodorant is currently only available in a roll-on formula, offering a neutral scent and light texture, which is something I’m hoping they expand from – I’ve never been able to use roll-ons as they irritate my skin, so I’m praying for a spray or cream texture launch in 2014. Because of the type of product it is I’ve unfortunately been unable to put it to the test, but I’ve heard very positive stories along the grapevine from others that have used it. There are many more products coming from Inhibitif in the future (including hair reducing body lotions and face creams,) so I can only imagine the stir this new brand is going to cause in the beauty industry. Would you dump your existing deodorant for Inhibitif?
