NEW FORMULA: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+

You could probably count on one hand the number of beauty products that have had the same formula for over 45 years. Launched back in 1968, Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion has achieved cult status and its instantly recognisable packaging adorns millions of bathroom shelves around the world. This weekend the brand launched a new, updated, reformulated version – Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+. The original formula was designed for the 1968 face, but as women now suffer from different skin complaints due to changes in the environment, the new formula has been updated to reflect that. One bottle sells every 4.87 seconds around the world, proving that its popularity is second to none (even before the formula update!)

Clinique has reformulated Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+
with a new barrier-strengthening complex as well as moisturising
hyaluronic acid, glycerine and urea. The new product was tested on 600
women in five countries over six years, and – due to Clinique’s
insistence on fragrance-free and allergy-free formulas – if any one of
those women experienced any kind of reaction it was ‘back to the drawing
board’. Clinique claim that the ingredients they’ve added are all found
naturally in the skin and are there only to improve efficacy. They’ve
been very careful not to change too much about the formula, so as not to
upset loyal customers: the colour, texture, scent and bottle are all
indistinguisable from the version we’ve known and loved for so long. It
feels no different on my skin to the previous version, sinking in
quickly to hydrate and moisturise skin without any sticky feeling. It
was the first premium product I ever bought, so the yellow bottle holds a
special place in my heart – here’s to the next 45 years!

Available now priced £29.50 for 125ml. Stock will naturally be replenished and the original formula will no longer be available.

This was my first "proper" skincare purchase when I was 13 or 14. I haven't used it for years but tempted to try it again now. x
