Beautiful Skin: Nspa Beauty Balm

Beauty Balms (also known as BB Creams) originated in Asia as an all-in-one extension of daily skincare. Designed to treat and reduce imperfections such as spots, pigmentation and wrinkles while providing a light coverage tint to the skin, they’ve taken the beauty market by storm. Translated into the Western market, Beauty Balms in the UK are similar to tinted moisturisers with added benefits targeted towards particular skin types. The Nspa Beauty Balm is from a range called ‘Beauty Rituals’ developed by the Berkshire based Nirvana Spa, and is presented as a 50ml boxed pink tube that looks as equally suited to the bedroom as the bathroom. Aimed more at combination-to-dry skin, with its dewy finish and 12 hour hydration formula, this Beauty Balm also contains Vitamin C to brighten the skin and SPF15 for sun protection. Additionally, Hyaluronic Acid and natural Vitamin E have been included for an anti-ageing effect and to decrease the appearance of fine lines.

The balm applies with the fingers like a light lotion, needing a small amount of working in before settling down into the skin and easily evening out the skintone. As it provides sheer coverage, a small amount of concealer is needed to cover prominent blemishes or under eye circles, but I was impressed with the amount of colour correction achieved from such a lightweight formula. Nspa promise a ‘post-spa facial glow’ from this product and it doesn’t disappoint; it gives the appearance of healthy and hydrated skin that’s perfect for those of us with dry patches, but may be a little much for oilier skins. This Beauty Balm is available in just one colour that’s described as a light-natural-medium, a tiny bit dark for my naturally pale skin but perfect with a coat of self tan. I usually find one-colour-fits-all products to look slightly orange and unnatural on me, but the more sunkissed tones of this balm are impressive and give a definite healthy shade. If you’re searching for the perfect summer BB Cream, then I would highly recommend trying out Nspa’s formula for a healthy looking glow.

The Nspa Beauty Balm is available for £6.00 in-store exclusively at ASDA.

£6 is a bargain! I'm a real advocate for BB and CC creams. With the weather getting warmer it's the only thing that'll stay on the skin without making me look a mess. I'm adding this to my ever expanding list! xAdrienne | Late Night Nonsense

Looks a lovely product, but I have the same problem as I'm pale, and they usually don't blend too well for me!
