One brand steal the show when it comes to nail varnish: Rimmel London. Known for their colour variety, affordable price point and quality formulas, they don’t often go wrong when it comes to polish. Their newest innovation comes with the stamp of approval from one of the biggest names on the planet; Kate Moss has provided a helping hand in creating the range and picking the colours, with all the names being inspired by films, music and characters that inspire her. The formula claims to be chip-resistant for up to 10 days, as well as leaving a glossy gel-like finish for an ultra-manicured look.
Application of polish is totally dependant upon the quality of the
brush, and the Salon Pro varnish contains a wider ‘maxi brush’ for
precise application in one swoop. I love how easy it is to apply the
shades, the width of the brush almost reaching all the edges of the nail
and making application super easy and fast. Although the range includes
32 different shades, I’m loving the nudes and pale oranges that are
perfect for a natural look that takes you from day to night. Soul
Session and Reggae Splash are my colours of choice, working with any
summer (or semi-summer!) outfit while not taking the focus away from
other accessories. The polish does stay put a lot longer than other
Rimmel varnishes I’ve tried, looking great after 3-4 days, but ’10 days
chip resistant’ will only ever apply if you put your hands in gloves and
refuse to use them for a week. The glossy finish makes the end result
look like an expensive manicure, so at £4.49 a pop you can’t go wrong. I
Available in 32 shades, priced £4.49 each. Find out more on their website.
