So London Fashion Week is upon us once again, and this is the time we start thinking ridiculously early about the fashions we’ll be sporting in Spring/Summer 2013. Corrie Neilsen showed their exotic looks on the first day of the fashion extravaganza, using flowers to inspire their nude collection of voluminous dresses and exotic headgear. The dresses and colours are all very well and good, but I’m really interested in the hair. The show’s look was created by the professionals at Toni & Guy, who are currently in their 17th season of supporting London Fashion Week. The hair story for Corrie Neilsen was split into two looks: “The first symbolising the irregularity of flowers in the wind, with a shiny and smooth side-parting leading into dry and micro-crimped ends. The second look encompasses the beauty of unopened flower petals with, again, sleek roots with the ends rolled into very messy and irregular side rolls.” I love that they’ve brought back the crimper and that the look is pretty easy to re-create – you just need some kirby grips, some hairspray and 5mins in the morning to bung it up in this messy, sexy style.
