J’Adore Paris

This weekend I took a little trip to Paris with a few friends to experience some culture, check out some sights, eat a lot of food and drink a lot of cocktails. It was a great few days and I’d thoroughly recommend taking a trip if you haven’t been before – especially if you know someone that can take you off the tourist track and show you the ‘real’ Paris. We were fortunate enough to be visiting someone that lives in Paris so we got to see a side that I hadn’t experienced on previous trips… The little cafes, the beautiful churches, the perfect places to get a happy hour cocktail and the route home at 5am when you can’t find a taxi. We not only went to the Eiffel Tower and Louvre, but also the Catacombs – an underground network of tunnels that is now home to over 8million skeletons that were removed from a Parisian cemetery in the 18th Century. Kind of strange, eerie and bewildering, but definitely worth a trip if you can. There was of course the essential trip to Laduree and Sephora, as well as a few croissants and a bloody good coffee. I have to admit that although I’m 100% a London girl, I fell a little bit in love with Paris.

I'm so jealous! I went to Paris once years ago but being young and there with friends, we partied rather than seeing the sights. I really want to back some time!

Laduree – jealous! But how can one not fall a little in love with Paris. One may choose to not live in Paris, but one can always love Paris a little and seek it out for frequent inspirational and people-watching trips : )

I live in Paris and I am happy you enjoyed it. I enjoy so much coming to London (used to live there 5 years ago…)
