With a slightly sunnier month ahead of us there’s nothing more exciting than the possibility of getting out my summer shoes again, yellow glads and all. I’ve been migrating away from the biker boots for some time now, but the sunny weekends past have injected my shoe thirst with a need for transitional shoes. While in New Look this weekend my eyes were drawn to these glad-wedges (as I like to call them) as they’re perfect tran-seasonal pieces of footwear. Sturdy enough to wear all day long, high enough to give a little boost and comfy enough to get through an entire afternoon of shopping.
The ribbon running through the centre means they’re really secure on your foot, as well as enabling you to loosen them when the inevitable ‘sweaty foot syndrome’ comes from June onwards. You can even wear them over tights in the meantime whilst rocking that boho chic look that never seems to go away. So much did I love these shoes that I justified purchasing them in two colours (and I would’ve got them in bright orange if they had them too!) to go with literally everything in my wardrobe. Unbelievably, these are only £16.99 pair too, giving you more than enough change for a nice ice lolly.
Available now from New Look priced £16.99. They only do ‘wide fit’, although they’re not actually really wide – I think this is just because of the ribbon adjustment ability!
