Not content with being a songstress, Strictly judge and all round fabulous fashionista, Alesha Dixon has today been announced as Avon’s Beauty and Empowerment Ambassador for the UK and Ireland. Sounds super dooper posh right? In this newly created role, Alesha will act as spokeswoman for Avon’s make-up category and its domestic violence cause, something I’m really passionate about. Avon UK has donated over £500,000 to its domestic violence charity partners Refuge, Women’s Aid and UN WOMEN to help end violence against women and Alesha will look to help increase that figure next year by promoting Avon’s Empowerment products.
Alesha says: “I’m so incredibly proud to partner with Avon, a company that empowers women and brings beauty to their lives. Being the face of Avon make-up means I’ve discovered so many amazing beauty treats that I can’t wait to share. But more importantly Avon has a real heart and a true passion for helping to improve the lives of women, so I hope to make a difference through generating awareness for a cause that is so close to me.” Alesha will feature in the brochures from February 2012, as well as being the face of the new Ideal Flawless foundation (more of that to come!)
To celebrate the new collaboration, Alesha will be taking over the @Avon_UK twitter account today between 1.30pm and 2.45pm, answering all your burning beauty questions. Make sure you tweet her a question… Strictly Fabulous.
