Never has a brand name been so appropriate; Tesco’s new and exclusive makeup range is called ‘Vivo’ and celebrates ‘being alive with colour’. Budget brands are really pulling out the stops and giving us great products without the hefty price tags that a long of well established ranges charge, and Vivo is no exception. The range includes a huge range of must-have beauty essentials, a vast array of colours and even false eyelashes. Even better is the fact that the range starts at £1.50 and nothing is more than £6.00, meaning you can grab a few cheeky lipglosses with your weekly shop without feeling guilty.
Within the range are staples such as foundation, eyeshadows, mascara, lipgloss and accessories, but these marbled palettes really are something else. The colours within each baked dome create a shimmery, wearable colour that lasts throughout the day and catches the light. Each palette contains four eyeshadows and a blush for only £6.00 – an absolute bargain.
There’s also a really handy ‘ultmate brow and eye kit’ which includes three eyebrow shades to groom your brows to perfection, as well as a gel to keep them fixed in place. Normally these kind of products cost in the range of £15, but you can grab this for only a fiver! Another option in the same format is the ‘ultimate base concealer kit’ which contains three concealers and a highlighter to ensure your complexion is radiant. So handy and so well presented.
I’m loving the blusher/highlighters too, particularly as the pigment is strong but doesn’t leave you with a flush of unnatural pink. It’s easy to sweep a giant brush across the base and get a subtle glow to the cheeks. A highlight of the whole range is also the false eyelashes, which look and feel like Eylure (my all time fave eyelash brand) but for a fraction of the price at £2.00-4.00! The base of the lash is thin and supple, as well as the designs being on trend and wearable… I can’t wait to get my hands on those feather lashes.
There are so many great products in the range I could babble on all year, so suffice to say I recommend you pop down to your local Tesco to check them out when they launch this September. There’s no excuse not too when you can practically grab a great piece of makeup for the price of a loaf of bread – especially when a new lipgloss will suit you so much better than that chunk of wholemeal.
