A Chanel Makeover

Running in parallel to the amazing ‘Une Promenade’ in Harrods is a special beauty pop-up in the main beauty hall of the department store. More that just another beauty counter, they’ve transformed a corner of the store into a Chanel beauty haven, which includes all the makeup you could ever dream of. There are giant fragrance bottles, lipglosses displayed like sweets in a candy store, and shelves and shelves of treats.

The best part of this though is the photobooth, cleverly disguised as more shelves adorning beautiful perfume bottles (the largest of which are actually available to buy, for upwards of £2000!) The photobooth takes four photos of you, with the addition of a wind machine for that Hollywood pose. This is completely free and you can take away your photos in a Chanel card to treasure at home.

All of this is to celebrate the limited edition ‘Knightbridge Collection’ which is only available in Harrods until 24th September. The collection includes a beautiful pink highlighter, adorned with the famous ‘CC’, as well as a flouro lipgloss and three bright and fabulous lipsticks. The collection is totally wearable, encouraging the more conservative of you to try a bright lip and enjoy it. My favourite is the coral which I may become a little bit obsessed with… I need this in my life.

The Chanel takeover will inevitably go down in history, so these make the perfect souvenirs. What better way to celebrate the iconic brand than with a brand new lipstick?

Available exclusively in Harrods until 24th September.

I visited yesterday and saw the photobooth which looked like fun, though as soon as we stepped in we were shouted at that we were not allowed in there unless we had makeup on, with no other explanation, which was nice. Rest of it was good though

That's a shame they told you off! When I went they were so friendly. But we did have a makeover, so maybe that's a pre-requisite. It's worth visiting though!
