I think Palmer’s body lotions are up there on so many ‘cult must have’ lists that they don’t even need to try to flog it anymore! I instantly associate the smell of cocoa butter with Palmer’s even if it’s from a completely different brand. It has such a unique and strong scent that it also reminds me of a housemate I had at Uni and takes me right back to being 19 again… I digress. This May something exciting is happening, but I’ve got the scoop for you right now. Palmer’s are extending their range with a fabulous body scrub which contains all the goodness (and scent) of the original body butters, and I for one think it’s pretty damn fab.
“The Body Scrub is an ultra moisturising blend of pure cocoa butter and Shea butter that melts at room temperature enabling rapid absorption into the skin. Bursting with natural crushed cocoa beans to remove dead skin without drying it helps to reveal brighter younger looking skin and enhance skin tone, texture and glow.” The formula is really thick, unlike a lot of scrubs, meaning you have to properly scoop it out of the pot and slap it on your skin. The cocoa beans work a treat to exfoliate, as you’re really able to move them around and get rid of the dead cells which make your limbs look tired and pasty.
The scrub smells amazing and really lingers… When I’m walking down the road to work I can still get a little whiff of amazing cocoa butter. What I really like though is how useful it is for the shower – with a lot of exfoliators they’re really runny and so it’s washed away before you can really work it into the skin, but with this it’s easy to polish to perfection.
The scrub will be available in Boots in May priced £5.99
