Getting wiggy with it

As girls we can change the way we look pretty easily through a swipe of eyeliner, a shimmy of lipgloss and a pair of killer heels, but if that’s just not enough for you then you may want to check out Annabelle’s Wigs. I love dressing up and when I was younger a wig in a bright colour was a must have for a night out – even if we were just going down the pub. Then the hair extensions craze began and we all experimented with clip-in extensions that probably looked about 10% as good as we thought they did. Wigs used to be made of plastic ‘hair’, impossible to style and basically a piece of fancy dress, but Annabelle’s Wigs are completely different to what you may expect of a bouffant hair piece.

The styles they offer are wearable enough for every day, or if you just want to shake things up of an evening, as they come in varying lengths and styles that are more natural than the ones you see on the shelves of Clinton Cards. Not only are they more ‘realistic’ but they also feel fab to wear – soft, light and incredibly well made. Normally when you take a wig out of its packet it looks like a ball of fluff that’s practically impossible to style, but the wig I’ve been playing with literally fell into its natural style and plopped on my head without a problem. Here are some amusing pictures of me messing around in the ‘Marcia’ wig… I could’ve played for hours!

I felt like Ariel from The Little Mermaid in this, flicking my hair all over the place and singing ‘Under the Sea’! You can really see the amazing colour in these pictures and how well the style sits with literally no messing at all. I can’t believe these are so reasonably priced either, starting from only £14.99; they should be at least double this. This will definitely be my stop the next time I want to dress up as Buffy the Vampire Slayer for Halloween… last year I couldn’t find a decent wig but this year it’s a done deal.

Make sure you check out the website and peruse the styles for yourselves.
