The market is saturated with so many shampoos that it’s hard to differentiate and navigate your way around the shelves of your local Boots without having a panic attack. Each one has its own claim, its own celebrity endorsement and shiny pack, but sometimes you have to ignore all of this and go back to basics. Tommy Guns is a brand that fits into that category – good ingredients, simple packaging and it does the job. I used their new dandelion shampoo and conditioner and loved it; their blueberry and ginseng range has also topped my list of things to slap on my scalp.
“Active ingredients include Blueberry a ‘superhero’ to help keep the hair vitalised, full of life, shine & bounce. Ginseng to help boost the hair’s strength & thickness to give enhanced volume & texture. Honey to moisturise the hair in just the right amounts to help leave the hair thicker & revitalised.”
The shampoo lathers really well with only a small amount, leaving hair squeaky clean, detangled and fresh feeling. The conditioner goes a long way and leaves the hair feeling revitalised, conditioned and moisturised after only a few minutes. My hair feels great after blowdrying too, smooth yet bouncy and full of volume, which sometimes is impossible to achieve simultaneously. I really enjoyed using these and was actually sad when they ran out, making sure I had every last blob out of the bottle. Considering I have about 20 other shampoos lined up to try this made it stand out in my mind! Tommy Guns won my best hair range of 2010 and it may just get the double whammy in 2011.
