I’ve been really into my candles of late as even watching the telly by candlelight can completely change my mood and enable me to chillax a little bit after a long and stressful day. With the night starting at about 4pm at the moment it’s the perfect excuse to light a candle as soon as you walk in the door. I’ve been a great fan of Aromatherapy Associates these past few months and don’t think their bath oils can be beaten by anything; I was intrigued to see how their scents transferred into a candle to see if I would get the same sensual experience in my living room as in the bath.
This delicious ‘Comfort Candle’ comes in a frosted glass pot and one of the Aromatherapy Associates boxes that the brand has become associated with. It makes a fab present, for yourself as an indulgence or for someone else as a special gift, because it feels and looks such good quality. The candle burns for up to 30 hours and has the oils running throughout – something I’ve been told basically enables the scent to last for the duration of the candle, rather than just while the top part of the wax is burning. The scent is full of rose and ginger to really make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and fills a room easily, unlike a lot of other candles I own. At £24 it’s not cheap, but I think it easily compares to candles twice the price so technically it’s a bargain!
