There’s a new kid on the block and he’s called ‘Got2B’. This new unisex hair range from Schwarzkopf is super funky and boasts ten products so there’s something for you, him and the next door neighbour.
This pretty much sums up what it’s all about: “Get hair that screams “look at me” with got2b’s innovative new unisex range of extreme styling products. From voluptuous volume, fierce protection and scandalous spikes, to fashionable freezes, hot holds and touchable textures, got2b is THE super styling range, which provides ultimate attitude for hair. A brand new range which is guaranteed to turn heads; designed to hold, protect, volumise and shine, Schwarzkopf have created the perfect range for hair that’s got2b its best.”
Brush aside those hideous XX Colour German-dubbed adverts and the shampoo your Nan still uses, this range has been designed for the younger market who are demanding, fashionable and fickle. I love the fact that there are styling products, finishing products and even heat protection spray – everything you need in one range. The packaging is innovative, really challenging the convential bottles and shapes we’re used to, whilst still being really comfortable to use.
The range includes: Glued Spiking Glue, Glued Blasting Freeze Spray, Guardian Angel Heat Protection Spray, 2Sexy Big Volume Hairspray, 4Play Spiked Up Putty, Sparkling Fixing Gel Spray, Beach Matt Paste, Chaotic Moulding Gum and Magnetik Styling Gel
I’ve been trialling the Guardian Angel Heat Protection Spray and the Sparkling Hairspray and I really like them. The ‘Guardian Angel’ is a strange shape, but it makes it perfect to hold and squirt while styling your hair with a hairdryer. I love the pump too – it’s really rounded and easy to use, so you don’t spend ten minutes trying to juggle your brush because the product aint coming out! Even the smallest details have been dealt with; the pump shape has been designed to perfectly fit your finger so it’s extremely comfortable. It smells really good too, not too strong but still a hint of freshness. When I blowdried my hair it was easy to manage and didn’t leave any residue or stickiness.
The Sparkling Hairspray had its test this weekend and it passed without a hitch. I sprayed my roots to get a bit of oomph, finishing with a spritz all over. Although it wasn’t particualrly shiny (I didn’t notice a difference there to be honest) it did last practically the whole night, through to the next day when I woke up with a bird’s nest on my head. It smelt lovely, with a hint of sweetness which lasted for a good couple of hours and the bottle was again really well designed to sit in your hand.
I’d like to describe this range as basically the High Street TIGI. Funky bottles, tick. Bright colours, tick. Beautiful scents, tick. Although I know brands don’t like to be compared, the German lot (I’m not writing that name again, it took me five spell checks!) should be proud, pleased and flattered that their £3.99 products compare to a salon brand. I’d definately go out and buy the rest of the range, even if to brighten up my hair shelf!
PS – Don’t know if you ‘got’ my Kylie reference in the title ; )
