Ginger Spice

Ginger makes me think of Christmas at Starbucks, old ladies & me and my sister making gingerbread men – just to clarify, this wasn’t ten years in the past but actually about 6mths ago. (I’m 27, she’s 23 – and we’re cool.) It’s not something I would ever consider turning into a fragrance, least of all a whole range of beauty products. Origins have gone ahead and broken with tradition and the results are gorgeous.

From the luxurious body moisturiser to the super smoothing body buffer, Origins have all the boxes ticked. I tried all the products I could in Boots (without being escorted out by security) and they’ve now all become the first additions to my Christmas list. I’m a bit of a skinflint when it comes to splashing the cash on beauty – I believe that 99% of the time you can get just as good a product elsewhere for half the price – but for these I would definately delve deep.

The most lusted after product I found though has to be the Origins Ginger Essence Sensuous Skin Scent which is now my new fragrance must have. You think of ginger and you imagine an overpowering, almost sickly, scent – think Starbucks ginger lattes and you’re half-way there. This fragrance has clearly been developed with such care and attention that the result is light, fresh, airy, sensual and really truly wearable. As soon as I squirted myself with it I felt unique and a little bit glam – I can’t imagine this being worn by a huge number of people, so you’re bound to get asked what you’re wearing! It’s definitely no Britney Spears scent. Priced at only £26 for 50ml, why not treat everyone?!
