Nine NEW Beauty Products You'll Want To Include In Your Routine This Summer

I adore the new textures, colours and scents that come with the onset of the summer season; the beauty industry certainly doesn't disappoint at this time of year, offering up a plethora of highly covetable products that we just can't wait to get our hands on. Although there are some beautiful makeup treats that aim to give you that super natural sunkissed glow, there are also so many others designed to keep you looking and feeling fabulous from head to toe. If you're in need of some beauty inspo, want something to fawn over or simply need an item or two to add to your payday wishlist, I've got you covered: here are nine of the best beauty products for summer, to suit all budgets, that I just know you're going to want to try.

Lancôme Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara (£17.85)
A great mascara and one I've written about a couple of times before, this is great at adding striking volume to lashes and lengthening even the most stumpy of lash lines. I adore the way it's an utter pleasure to use from the first go, but it just gets better with time; this waterproof version is perfectly timed for summer when you don't want your eye makeup to run, but you can't avoid jumping in the pool / the hideous symptoms of hayfever. (Honestly, this has been saving my streaming eyes for weeks!) An investment, but one you'll love until Autumn.

Lancome Bronze & Glo palette (£33.75)
Infused with shimmering rose and bronze elements, this palette provides the perfect colour combination to help skin look like you've just stepped off a St Tropez yacht. Whether you want to buff a large fluffy brush into all the colours at once and apply for a subtle healthy glow, or you want to pick out individual shades and apply with more precision, this is a hugely flexible palette that would be amazing for weekends away. Highlighters are much underrated, but this helps to create effortlessly beautiful skin in two ticks.

Bare Minerals Vio-Lit Glow Primer Base (£20.00)
I'm such a huge fan of primers, especially in the warmer months when makeup has a tendency to slip and slide throughout the day. This lightweight and incredibly comfortable formula from Bare Minerals features a delicate violet hue that ensures a subtle 'lit from within' glow, leaving skin looking rested and radiant. Available exclusively via QVC, it can be applied direct to skin before makeup or mixed with your base for effortless skin health - and it will last you blooming ages too.

W7 Full Metal 3-in-1 Lip & Eye Pen (£6.95)
A bargain makeup find that would be amazing during festival season, these pens can be used on lips, eyes and even nails - apparently. I don't get that third use at all (and trust me, I've tried!) but these do provide an incredible metallic pigment that stays put once it's dry; you can definitely use it mixed with moisturiser for a glowing highlight, or even buff with a brush across your décolletage for a tanned torso. The choice is yours; products that encourage experimentation and have mutiple uses are always worth a sneaky purchase in my book... And these are so much fun.

Garnier Ambre Solaire UV Water (£8.00)
I was genuinely gutted this arrived just after I returned from Santorini, as it would've been amazing for topping up my sunscreen while out and about. The revolutionary formula looks and feels like water, but provides up to SPF30 protection; it leaves the surface of skin feeling refreshed, glowing and protected, without any residue or stickiness. It's such a good one for popping in your bag to re-apply throughout the day without needing to wash your hands, and I can imagine it'll be great for kids who hate that gloopy sticky feeling too. Sure to become a hit for summers to come, and a staple in my suitcase on my next trip!

Givenchy Poudre Bonne Mine (£37.00)
Another purely indulgent makeup addition, the stars embossed on the surface of the powder make me all kinds of happy. Available in four bronzing shades to add a subtle glow, this gel-like texture transforms into a powder upon application to the skin, leaving a beautifully light and practically invisible veil behind. It's one of those makeup products that mean you can basically go without a base, just buff this on and apply a slick of mascara and you're good to go. Yes, it's stupidly expensive but sometimes it's the little things that make us feel confident and fabulous.

Jo Malone Cattleya Flower Body Mist (£45.00)
Known for their iconic black and cream labels and their statement glass bottles, Jo Malone are certainly changing things up and giving us fresh scents alongside super covetable packaging. This fuchsia bottle looks amazing on my dressing table, while the scent is an uplifting and energising floral. Featuring notes of mandarin, orange, grapefruit and lemon, alongside an exotic floral orchid note and the woody intensity of vetiver, this is an unexpected and delightfully sophisticated scent you can spritz all day long (even if practically speaking it's a little too heavy to carry around.) Although it's probably the most expensive body mist I've ever used, if you want to treat yourself then why not!

The Body Shop British Rose Body Yogurt (£8.50)
Hate waiting for your body lotion to sink in, or feeling sticky against your clothes? This Body Yogurt is incredibly lightweight and almost absorbs into the surface of limbs like a gel-water texture; it leaves the surface feeling refreshed, energised and lightly hydrated without weighing it down. With a multitude of scents to choose from you'll be spoiled for choice, but the British Rose can't be beaten for universal appeal and a timeless scent.

Delune Coconut & Rose Facial Mist (£12.95)
Although the packaging leaves a lot to be desired and the pump has a tendency to stick, this delicately fragranced mist provides a welcome relief from the summer heat. Fortified with Vitamin E found in coconuts alongside beautiful rose (known for its skin refreshing and revitalising properties,) this instantly cools and reinvigorates the skin. It's fab spritzed over makeup to refresh and hydrate, but is equally as lovely used at the end of the day as a last step in your skincare regime. Face mists have become big news in the last few years, and for good reason - a quick spritz is all you need to leave you and your skin feeling so much better than before.

  1. The Rose body yoghourt sounds divine. I like the look of the Lancome bronzer too, not too dark as some look overwhelming. x

  4. I've just ordered the mascara. I have really sensitive eyes at the moment (a combination of age and season I think) and I'm literally like a panda most of the time. Hoping this stops panda tendencies!!
