Childhood Faves Never Go Out Of Style: Open Up With Tic Tac & Create Your Own Personalised Box!

ADVERTORIAL FEATURE
WIN 1 OF 5 PERSONALISED BOXES OF TIC TACS TO TREASURE!
My childhood was a simpler time, when a packet of sweets or a ride on my bike made everything in the world seem so much better; I spent hours hanging out in the park, toasting marshmallows over a fire and talking about Sister Sister, wondering what life would be like when I finally became 'a grown up'. My sister and I sung songs from The Little Mermaid and Joseph And The Technicolour Dreamcoat on repeat, and played Barbies sprawled across a blanket in the back garden; while she would swing on the swing and see how high she could get, I'd be preening their hair and dressing them in the best combo of 90's fashion I could find. I reminisce with hugely fond memories and sometimes that's all I need to remove myself from the stresses and strains of adult life; the reason I still love Disney movies, collect Harry Potter memorabilia and had a Delorean at my wedding is because those childhood memories and associations make me incredibly happy and thankful.

They provide a little moment of escapism and allow me to, if only for a moment, be a child once again and embrace all those simplistic emotions that come along with it - who says you have to ever grow up? With that in mind, there are a few things that I hold such fond memories of and such strong associations with - and Tic Tacs come high up on that list. As a kid I loved the orange ones so spent ages picking them out and leaving the leftovers for my mum, back when there were only two flavours to choose from; those little tabs made me feel so grown up and sophisticated, because a penny chocolate mouse just couldn't compete with an elegant minty fresh sweet. I still carry a box with me most of the time and there’s something about the sound of the box being shaken that puts a smile on my face.

If, like me, you've got a special place in your heart for a box of Tic Tacs, then there's an event taking place you need to know about... This June Tic Tac is launching a pop-up with a difference in London's Covent Garden, and they want YOU to get involved; the 'Tic Tac Open House' is an interactive experience designed to leave you feeling inspired, full of fun and with little treats to take away. You'll have the unique chance to immerse yourself in the colourful world of Tic Tac, taking a peek into the archives to discover what has made the brand a household name for almost 50 years, as well as being invited to create your very own bespoke Tic Tac flavour mix (choose from flavours that include Fresh Mint, Orange, Passion Fruit and Cherry Cola!) and personalised box - a real treat for yourself or to share with a loved one.

What's exciting is the most creative flavour combinations will be shared with Tic Tac's Research & Development team for potential future innovation: so you could create the next box of Tic Tac's you see on the shelf! Continue that flavour journey with a cocktail bar inspired by the Tic Tac famous flavours, shake your Tic Tacs in the GIF photo booth and even enter a competition to win tickets to the hottest music festival of the year. I was lucky enough to get a preview and you can see from my snaps how much fun you're going to have if you pop on by!

Open up, embrace those childhood memories and shake your Tic Tacs. You know you want to...

Want to get involved? The Tic Tac Open House will open its doors on 15th and 16th June (12-8pm) at The White Space, 5 Great Newport St, London WC2H 7JB. Entry is FREE! (
